When graphic designer Mike Souter answered a knock on his door late in 2008 little did he realise that he and the young Soweto artist at the door, would become firm friends and partners in introducing the world to the unique Makaraba style of African football gear.
A year later and their garage factory is pumping out hundreds of Makaraba helmets synonymous with the African football scene.
Mike and Sipho have now created employment for local craftsmen who design and create these wonderful pieces of art.
