AfricaSoccer is a company providing a service to international broadcasters and production companies who require stock footage, stills, crew, documentaries and packages in the lead-up to the biggest event in world Soccer in 2010. Categories include Wildlife, Culture, Host Cities, SA Football, Stadiums, Scenics and News Updates.
The AfricaSoccer project was started by Ilana Gordon and Michael Bardsley. With a total of 35 years of broadcast television experience between them, their collective skills in international sports broadcasting creates a strong production team. Ilana is a technical director, and Mike works internationally as a slo-mo director and EVS editor.
Our Logistics and Travel section is run by Shanni Thomas who has been an integral part of logistic departments at previous World Cups, Olympics, Asian Games etc. A background in tourism, event and conference management, as well as destination management experience ensure full service logistics for international companies. Shanni speaks good French and has basic Italian understanding too.
AfricaSoccer has access to a wide network of videographers around the country who have an intimate and extensive knowledge of their cities and surroundings. Our commitment is to provide high definition footage across all platforms at reasonable prices to the global broadcast market.
